イルマティック20周年効果によりヒップホップクラシックのプチブームがやってきており、少し前ポストした94年の作品ばかりで作ったミックスなどを聴いて高めております。

そんな中、シーンのトップの座を常にキープし続ける名門レーベルDEF JAMも今年30周年を迎えるとのことで、その30年の歴史の100曲超の楽曲を超絶クイックにミックスした（と言うかほぼマスターミックスの様相）英国の人気マッシュアップ／ヒップホップDJのJaguar Skillsの作品がストリームで聴けます。（VIA @okadapaisen、@amass_jp）

初期のザックリしたガッツのあるシンプルなビートから始まり、
いわゆるミドルスクール的な超古典やノイジーで分厚いなPEなど時代、
ウータン登場＆G-FUNKの台頭＆90'sのドープメロー流行な時代、
バブリーなシンセサウンド＆サウス的バウンス＆時折大ネタ使いの時代、
カニエの登場、ネタ感あるものにやや戻しつつもサウス的ビートも定着の時代、
Rick Rossや2Chainz、Young Jeezyなどの新世代の台頭時代、
そして最後は現在ブッチギリの先鋭サウンドで突っ走るカニエのYeezusからBound2、
とまあこんな区切りでトレンドの変節が分かり復習出来ます。

その時代時代でヒップホップのメインストリームでなにが起こっていたのかのアウトラインはこれを聴けば分かります。
どの位置で感極まるかは青春時代どこだったのかにもよりますが、私は高額過ぎて憧れだったPEのShut Em Down (Pete Rock Remix)からEPMDにかけてのあたりで思わず熱くなってしまいましたよね。買えなかったよな～～と。構成が上手くてグっときたのかも。昼休みの時間潰しに最適です。
